Landing light cutout in the leading edge

Landing light cutout in the leading edge full size

Since my riveting buddy was busy with homework, I started the landing light installation. The first step was to cut out the hole in the leading edge. I used the snips first, then a high speed cutter in the dremel tool to get it close to the lines, then finished with files and the scotch brite wheel in the die grinder. Looks pretty good.

The bracket needs to be cut up, then riveted together to get it to the right length to fit between the nose ribs in the wing. Here I have cut off the end, and filed everything smooth. I have a line marked on the bracket to locate the end so that it can be drilled and riveted.
