Assembling rudder skeleton

Fitting rudder horn to spar (Full size) Started cleco'ing the rudder skeleton together. First I fit the lower rib to the spar, then attached the rudder horn and final drilled the holes. Then I fabricated the shim that goes underneath the horn, fit and drilled it. |

Counterbalance skin and tip rib (Full size) Next was to fit and drill the 3 doublers at the hinge points. Then attach the tip rib, counterbalance rib, and fit the counberbalance skin and drill the attachment holes |

Left skin cleco'd to skeleton (Full size) Next I attached the skins and cleco'd them into place and match drilled the skin holes |

Rudder horn brace (Full size) Cut the rudder horn brace as shown on the plans, then fit that to the skeleton. Match drilled the holes. |
