Installing nutplates (Full size) First thing to do is drill out the nutplate rivet holes and countersink them. Then alodine, and install the nutplates. Here I am installing the nutplates after those steps. |

Countersinking bolt holes (Full size) After putting in the nutplates, the bolt holes need to be countersunk for the skin dimples. I used the cage countersink tool with a #30 pilot for the tank nutplates, and a #40 pilot for the access panel nutplates. After that, alodine the countersinks. |
