Dimpling skin Dimpling skin(Full size)
I needed to finish dimpling the elevator skin for the stiffeners. This is quite awkward as the skin doesn't want to stay open. You need multiple hands to get it done
priming spar and inner rib priming spar and inner rib(Full size)
The next step is to match drill the inner rib and the spar, so that the horn can be fitted and match drilled. After drilling these 2, I primed the mating surfaces
Riveting spar and inner rib Riveting spar and inner rib(Full size)
Once the parts are primed, they are riveted together with flush-head rivets After this, I fitted and match drilled the elevator horn to the spar and rib
Fitting skin to spar and rib assembly Fitting skin to spar and rib assembly(Full size)
The horn is cleco'd into place, I then put on the skin and cleco'd it to the spar and rib
Adding counterbalance rib assembly Adding counterbalance rib assembly(Full size)
Once the skin and spar are fitted, I attached the counterbalance rib assembly into place. Then I match drilled all the remaining skin and spar holes. Now all is ready for deburring, dimpling, cleaning and priming]
